    Who we are

Holy Cross Path (https://holycrosspath.com) is a guide to pilgrimage routes in Poland and Japan. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@holycrosspath.com.

    What we collect and why

We only collect what we need to answer your questions, publish your comments, and keep the site running safely. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

    Enquiries

When you contact us through our enquiry form or by email, we collect your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us in your message, such as travel dates or the routes you are interested in. We use this only to reply to you and to help plan your journey. Our legal basis is your request to us and our legitimate interest in answering it.

    Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the details in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser information to help detect spam. Your name and comment are shown publicly once approved; your email address is never published.

An anonymised string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. If you do, your Gravatar profile picture will appear next to your comment. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

    Security

To protect the site against hacking and spam, our security tools may record the IP address and browser details of visitors. This information is used only for security and is deleted automatically after a short period.

    Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use analytics.

If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so you don’t need to enter them again. These cookies last for one year. Site administrators who log in also receive cookies needed for the login to work; these do not affect ordinary visitors.

    Embedded content from other websites

Some articles may include embedded content such as videos, maps or images from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the content, especially if you are logged in to them.

Who we share your data with
